- Commercial general liability including premises liability for bodily injury or property damage to
residents, visitors, or neighbors arising out of the operation of your programs.
- Professional liability coverage for bodily injury claims arising out of providing professional
services.
- Professional liability coverage (malpractice) for professional acts even when bodily injury does
not occur and even when not arising out of a medical incident for – instance counseling or training
errors. (The typical coverage which includes medical incidents only.)
- Up to $1,000,000 limit of liability for bodily injury or property damage liability claims for each
occurrence including professional liability claims.
- Medical payments coverage.
- Personal liability insurance for non-business acts provided on an excess basis, if the insured is
an individual or husband and wife, and the insured's principal residence is a licensed facility.
- Personal injury liability coverage including false arrest, detention or imprisonment, malicious
persecution, libel, slander, defamation or violation of right of privacy, wrongful entry or eviction or
other invasion of right of private occupancy. Personal injury liability coverage includes claims made
by employees.
- Extended bodily injury coverage for intentional acts if an injury results solely from the use of
reasonable force for the purpose of protecting persons or property.
- Employment practices coverage. A separate Employment Practices liability policy is available.
- Employee benefits errors and omissions coverage for claims resulting from the employer's error or
omission in providing employee benefits up to the policy's limit each occurrence.
- Sexual abuse and physical abuse coverage.
- Communicable disease coverage up to the policy's limit each occurrence.
- Pollution coverage is provided for bodily injury and property damage liability claims arising out
of the sudden and accidental discharge of pollutants including heat, smoke or fumes from a hostile fire.
- Independent contractors coverage for acts of non-employees for which you are sued, such as repairmen
working on you facility and causing injury to someone. Note: The independent contractor does NOT have
coverage under this policy unless provided by some special endorsement.
- Contractual liability coverage for liability assumed under any written or oral contract or agreement
relating to the conduct of you business.
- Legal liability coverage for damage to leased real property. This legal liability coverage applies
to real or personal property of others which you lease, rent or is in your care, custody or control.
- Non-owned auto liability coverage to protect you if a claim is made against you for an injury which
occurred when someone else was using his or her personal car on behalf of your business. Note: The driver
of the vehicle should be covered under the driver's vehicle coverage.
- Products completed operations coverage for injuries that occur away from the facility – for example
box lunches provided to children.
- Employees are additional insureds if the employees are sued for covered claims arising out of the
operation of your program.
- Any person or organization is an additional insured where required by contract with you for liability
arising out of your operations.
- Coverage available for other activities such as supported programs, workshops, offices, counseling,
etc. (Contact MACCP for details.)
- All of the above points are for discussion purposes only. Not all insurers represented by the Michigan
